Combine accounts

OpenApp keeps one person per login identity. Signing in with Google and later with a phone code can create two accounts. Adding the missing phone or email then offers to combine them—not a dead-end error.

Combine from account security

1. Sign in with the account you want to keep using (usually Google or email).
2. Open Security.
3. Add the phone or email that belongs to the other account.
4. Enter the SMS or email code.
5. Choose Combine accounts.

You keep this sign-in. Apartment access and memberships from the other account move here. Afterwards you can sign in with email or phone. To drop one method later, see Sign-in methods.

If both accounts have a photo, pick which one to keep. Cancel leaves both accounts unchanged (you can start the code again).

A phone-only account that adds a Google email is combined into the Google account so that sign-in method keeps working. You can stay in the current session.

Building asked you to combine

If the building started this for you, you get email, SMS, or a dashboard banner, plus a link to Security. Sign in as one of the two accounts, prove the other phone or email, then combine. The building cannot finish the combine for you.

Privacy export

An absorbed account is the same person. Data export follows merged_into_user_id and lists the earlier user ids.
