They can also open by scanning a QR code, or by voice with AI. Household leads can manage their household - granting their children and guests permanent or temporary access permissions. They can do this quickly, from a mobile phone, without handing phone numbers to community managers and waiting for approval. Managers set in advance what each household may do, and see in the activity log who opened, when, what they opened, and who delegated them the authority to open.
Who this affects
OpenApp is relevant for community managers (including security officers) and residents of gated communities. For residents the pain is clear: guests and family members cannot get in easily - they have to wait at the gate until the resident opens it. Sometimes the resident is unavailable, so entry becomes a problem. Hardware you do not need to replace
At many sites, parking and entrance gates are controlled by a PalGate controller. Keep using your existing hardware (and the old apps) with no need to replace the access controller or install new hardware components. OpenApp works with PalGate controllers, so you can open the gates from the OpenApp app as well. You do not need to call a technician to integrate into your access-control solution - you complete the integration yourself, easily, from your phone.
