Flash a Tasmota ESP opener

OpenApp flashes official Tasmota firmware (not a fork). Your browser talks to the USB serial chip from this page. After write, set Wi-Fi with Improv, then create a device in OpenApp and apply the generated Backlog over the same cable.

Flashing needs Chrome or Edge on a computer (HTTPS). iPhone and iPad cannot flash.

On Linux, add your user to the dialout group, then log out of the desktop and back in, before Chrome can open the USB serial port. USB connection help.

1. Flash (chip auto-detected)

2. Continue in OpenApp

Create a Tasmota integration and device: pick GPIO, output type (relay or WS2812), and pulse. Download or apply the Backlog. OpenApp publishes ON to POWER when you open the door.

OpenApp is not affiliated with Tasmota or Espressif. Tasmota remains GPL-3 firmware with its own name on the board UI.
